ESPN adds 13 college games to its 3D schedule

Football fans with a new 3D TV should be happy to hear that ESPN will be adding about 13 NCAA Division 1 college football games to its ESPN 3D channel beginning in early September and running through mid-January.

According to the announcement issued by ESPN, coverage will begin on Sept. 10 with Boise State playing No. 5-ranked Virginia Tech, followed the next day by an Ohio Sate /Miami Hurricanes match up. The final broadcast will be January 10, when ESPN 3D airs the Tostitos BCS National Championship Game.

ESPN says that in addition to these games, it will telecast a featured college football game in 3D almost every week of the season. Other ESPN 3D sporting events this year will include NBA, college basketball, and Winter X Games 15.
