Samsung initiate on 3D LED TV, e-book readers, and Samsung Apps

Samsung Electronics is demonstrating its latest series of 3D-capable TVs, e-book readers and launching its Samsung Apps website by the ongoing 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

For the 3D segment, Samsung also announced a planned alliance with DreamWorks Animation SKG and Technicolor for the release of a 3D home entertainment solution in 2010.
Samsung's 3D-capable invention lineup includes LED-backlit LCD and PDP TVs of the 7000 series and above, as well as the 750 series LCD TVs.

The 3D-capable TVs feature Samsung's proprietary built-in 3D processor and emitter that enables compatibility with several 3D standards including half and full HD resolution formats, as well as the Blu-ray Disc organization ratified "Blu-ray 3D" standard, according to Samsung.

The e-book readers, the 6-inch E6 and the 10-inch E101, can stock up up to 1,200 books, and Samsung will cooperate with Google for the satisfied supply. The e-book readers permit handwriting directly onto the screens with a built-in electromagnetic resonance (EMR) stylus pen.

Samsung's e-books also feature wireless connectivity, allowing content downloads by Wi-Fi 802.11b/g. Bluetooth 2.0 is also a built-in feature.
