In South Korean Samsung Electronics has announced that it is working on a combined software platform for its mobile phones and TV. This is seen as a method of approaching developers to create applications for its platform, thus raising the number of people to buy its products.
The Vice President said that “We have a plan to have an own platform for Samsung TV" .Lee added that he could not give any timeline for the developers to work on this platform but they are still working on it. Samsung's will take better abilities between its smart TVs and smart phones. They expect to twice the sales volumes of its smart TVs in 2011.
The other company capable of taking an initiative is Sony with its televisions and Sony Ericsson with its mobile phones. Now Samsung is the only company developing such a platform for its mobile phones and TV.
