The smart-phone war between Google and Apple intense up today at a Google press event, as the company demonstrated its latest operating system for Android 3.0, also known as Honeycomb and announced the opening of its Web Android Market for Android applications.
Apple countered by introduces today new applications for the iPad, The Daily, from News Corporation. There was no announcement today of a new report of the iPad.
Highlights from Google’s announcements:
- Honeycomb expands upon earlier version of Android with larger displays.
- There is a new user interface for tablet camera controls.
